John is an artist, film and television director, and writer based on Ynys Môn, North Wales. Born and raised in North Wales and grew up in Bangor along the Menai Straits, surrounded by a mixture of urban and rural life.
A former soldier, John was a Royal Engineer and served in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as the Balkans and Northern Ireland. During his time in the military John often used his art to sketch the people and landscapes, as well as to decorate the rest areas.
John is a Bangor University graduate has won an RTS award and has seen his work nominated for multiple awards including a BAFTA.
John has been nominated by the Fine Art Trade Guild and the Visual Arts Association.
